    Hiya, Pal!

You found the place where I post things I think to be interesting!
    • Deploying Immich in Podman

      ...with Ansible

      By Chris Hudson

      Posted on August 18, 2024

Recently, I decided to give the self-hosted photo and video solution Immich a whirl and must say, it’s pretty sweet. It kinda feels like hosting your own Google Photos instance given how similar the UIs are. And having used Google Photos for years, I’m not complaining! Anywho, there doesn’t seem... [Read More]
    • Using Ansible to Create Podman Containers, Managed by Systemd

      An example using Hauk..

      By Chris Hudson

      Posted on May 8, 2024

For a while now, I’ve used bash scripts called by systemd unit files to control containers I want running at all times. And while it works well, I decided to look into Ansible for a more repeatable and organized approach that would also hopefully have the benefit of easy container... [Read More]

    • Vaultwarden Behind Traefik with IPWhiteList Middleware

A hack to keep the clients & extensions happy..

      By Chris Hudson

      Posted on February 12, 2024

UPDATE: Better solution: Run Traefik 3.0.0-rc1 (at the time of this writing) and use the IPAllowList middleware coupled with the rejectStatusCode option. • Simbrief Flight Plan Installation Automation for X-Plane

This might not have been worth the effort, but was a fun project!

      By Chris Hudson

      Posted on January 13, 2024

Having recently gotten beginner-level-comfortable with the Zibo 737-800 in X-Plane, I fired up Vatsim to take to the virtual skies to see if I could manage my way from Raleigh-Durham International Airport (KRDU) to Charlotte/Douglas International Airport (KCLT) successfully. It can be a little daunting with the addition of live... [Read More]

I recently had the itch to do a little virtual flying and fired up X-Plane with the goal of learning to fly the famous Zibo Boeing 737-800. If you haven’t checked it out, I would highly recommend you do so! By all accounts, it is one of the most accurate... [Read More]
